The R&D group staffed with chemistry, chemical engineering and biomedical engineering expertise continues to innovate, produce and bring new wound care technology to the Canadian, US and global markets utilizing its proprietary PVA and PU foam technology in combination with two natural organic pigments. The Hydrofera Blue® Wound dressing portfolio is quite unique, it's antibacterial, it kills bacteria but it's non-cytotoxic. That's because it does not release anything into the wound, but rather wicks bacteria laden exudate into the dressing where it is effectively killed.
